Highlights of the IRIS Program Schedule for August 8-August 13, 2011
Hello, IRIS fans! This is Jim Boyd, weekend guy at IRIS, bringing you the highlights of this week's programming on IRIS.
Coming up Monday through Saturday, 9 p.m.: Anthony Pisut is back reading more of the book, "Iowa: Spaces, Places, and Faces".
On Wednesday, August 10 at 12 p.m.: "Midweek Shopping Cart" with Marlys Van Hauen. Repeated 9 p.m. Wednesday and 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 28. Catch all the weekly grocery ads and department store specials!
Thursday, August 11, 9 p.m.: Old Radio Shows, featuring the Lux Radio Theatre presentation of The Wizard of Oz, starring Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale, a young girl swept away from Kansas to a magical land in a tornado. Listen in as she embarks on a quest to find the Wizard of Oz, who can help her return home.
